Black Venetian Blinds in a Matt or Smooth Finish

Black Both Ways, and Where It Works Best
The black blind comes two ways. The standard blind hangs from the brackets supplied, uses a cord and wand and is made from 61cm by 61cm up to 400cm by 400cm. The Perfect Fit version clips into a uPVC frame with no drilling, works with a tab and wand and has no cords, and is made up to 137.2cm wide by 213.4cm high, in a white, golden oak or mahogany frame. Black suits a bright room with pale walls, where the slats make a strong frame around the window. In a small, dark room a lighter blind such as our white venetian blinds may suit better. Black slats are not blackout: light can still show at the edges and through the cord holes, and for an exact size blind more than 5cm of overlap each side keeps the gaps smaller.

Are black venetian blinds blackout?
No. Closed black slats block the view in and cut a lot of light, but venetian blinds are not blackout blinds, because light can show at the edges and through the cord holes. More overlap around the window helps.
What is the difference between matt black and smooth black venetian blinds?
Matt black has a flat, non-reflective finish. Smooth black has a deeper, more polished look. Both are 25mm aluminium and wipe clean, so choose by the look you prefer and order a sample of each.
Do black venetian blinds make a room look smaller?
