Made to Measure Faux Wood Shutters

Our faux wood shutters are made to measure as full height shutters with 89mm louvres that tilt to control light and privacy. They are made from moisture-resistant faux wood, which is simple to wipe clean and suits bathrooms and kitchens as well as living rooms. The range comes in three finishes, a crisp grey, a soft ecru and a pale lunar tone, with hinges chosen to match.

How Shutter Size Affects the Layout

The size of your window decides the layout. Shutters up to 1820mm wide use a two-panel layout, and up to 2140mm wide a three-panel layout. Taller shutters have midrails: none up to 1700mm high, one at the halfway point from 1700 to 2400mm, and two, at a third and two thirds, above 2400mm. Shutters are trickier to fit than blinds, so use our shutter measuring guide before you order and our shutter installation guide when they arrive. Fauxwood window shutters are the same product, in moisture resistant faux wood.

Yes. Faux wood shutters are water resistant and can be cleaned easily with anything from a duster to a wet wipe, depending on how much dust and dirt they have.

Shutters are hinged panels of louvres fitted to the window, and these have wide 89mm louvres that tilt for light and privacy. Wooden blinds hang from a headrail with 50mm slats that tilt and can also be raised out of the way, which shutters cannot. Blinds are lighter and simpler to fit, while shutters give a more solid, built-in look.
