Venetian Blinds That Move With Your French Doors

Our French door venetian blinds are made to measure in the UK with 25mm aluminium slats, and each one clips into the glazing of the door itself, so it opens and closes with the door and never swings against the glass. There are no screws to drill into the frame and no cords to catch on a handle: raise the blind with the tab on the bottom bar and tilt the slats with the wand.

These are venetian blinds for French doors with no cords, so they are child and pet safe in a hallway or dining room. Tilt the slats shut for privacy, or angle them to let daylight in. Fit one to each door, in a frame to match the door: white, golden oak or mahogany.

Measuring Each Pane and Keeping Clear of Handles

Measure the glass of each door, not the frame: the width at the top, middle and bottom and the drop down the left, middle and right, using the smallest of each. Leave 2.5cm clear of handles, hinges and vents. The largest blind is 137.2cm wide and 213.4cm high and the smallest is 61cm by 61cm, so if your door glass is divided into several small panes by glazing bars, check the size of one pane first.

A pair of French doors needs one blind for each leaf, so measure both rather than assuming they match. Doors with a wider glazed panel can take a bracket-fixed blind, which our patio door venetian blinds page explains.

French Door Venetian Blind FAQs

Each blind arrives with its clips and an installation guide. The clips slide between the beading and the glass, the blind clicks onto them, and nothing is drilled or screwed. Our perfect fit installation guide takes you through each step.

Yes. These French door blinds have no cords: you raise and lower them with the tab on the bottom bar and tilt the slats with a wand, so there is nothing for a child or pet to reach.

Our French door venetian blinds clip into the glass of the door, so they work with the door and keep the handle free. Other blinds suit French doors too, but venetian slats are the ones you can tilt to control privacy and light without covering the whole door.

Yes. Tilt the slats closed and they sit across the glass, which blocks the view in. With the slats open, light comes through while you control what can be seen.

Yes. The blind clips into the glass of the door itself, so it travels with the door whichever way it opens. Check there is 2.5cm clear of the handle and hinges.

Measure the visible glass in each door leaf, not the frame or the rubber beading, and use the smallest width and drop. Then pick your frame depth on the product page. Our perfect fit measuring guide shows each step. Measurement protection comes with every order too: if a measurement does turn out wrong, you can have a replacement at a reduced price, depending on the blind.
