Full Height Faux Wood Shutters for a Living Room

Our living room shutters are made to measure, full height faux wood shutters with 89mm louvres. They come in three finishes: Armor Coating in a crisp Armory grey, Egg Shell in Ecru with Pearl hinges, and Moon Rock in a subtle Lunar tone.

The wide louvres tilt to direct daylight and keep a street view private, and the faux wood is moisture resistant and wipes clean. Shutters give a living room window a fixed, tailored look that blinds do not.

Layout, Midrails and Where They Go

A living room window is often wide, so the layout matters. Panels are laid out LR up to 1820mm wide and LLR up to 2140mm wide. Taller windows get a midrail: none up to 1700mm high, one at 50% from 1700 to 2400mm, and two at 33% and 66% above 2400mm.

Living Room Shutter FAQs

Shutters are a popular choice for living rooms because of their fixed, tailored look. The 89mm louvres let you control how much daylight comes in and where it falls, and keep the room private from the street.

Shutters can be tricky to install. Our shutter installation guide has step by step instructions.

Measure as close as you can to where the frame will sit, allowing for window handles and for run-off in the recess. The shutter measuring guide shows the checks for each frame style. Every Blindstyle blind also comes with measurement protection, which gives you a reduced price on a replacement if you measure wrong, and the price depends on the blind.
