Which Vertical Blind Fabric Suits a Bathroom?

Our bathroom vertical blinds are made to measure in the UK with 89mm slats, and the fabric you choose decides how well they cope with steam. The PVC-coated slat, built on a fibreglass core, is waterproof and wipes clean, so it suits a main bathroom, a shower room or a wet room. The polyester slat filters daylight with a soft fabric feel and belongs in a dry en-suite. A wand slides and tilts the blind, so there are no cords to hang near the bath.

The smallest blind is 61cm by 61cm, so a compact bathroom window can take one, and up to ten free samples, posted first class, let you hold the colour against your tiles.

Bathroom Windows That Suit Verticals

Verticals earn their place on tall windows, wide windows and glazed shower-room doors, where the whole blind slides aside and the slats tilt for privacy without losing the daylight. Choose where it stacks, left, right or split, so the slats gather away from the bath or the door, and which side the wand hangs.

Bathroom Fabric and Fitting FAQs

Choose the PVC-coated slat for a main bathroom, shower room or wet room, because it is waterproof and wipes clean. Keep the polyester slat for a dry en-suite or a well ventilated bathroom, where it will not be splashed.

Many do. A blind gives you privacy while still letting in daylight, and a waterproof, wipe-clean blind such as our PVC-coated verticals is made for the job.

Yes, if it is the PVC-coated slat, which is waterproof and wipes clean. Choose the stack side that gathers the slats away from the shower, and leave the wand on the side you can reach dry-handed.

Wipe the PVC-coated slats with a damp cloth or baby wipe, and use a duster or a vacuum for the polyester slats. Neither goes in the washing machine.
