They are made from a PVC-coated fibreglass core, which wipes clean and is waterproof. A window blind is generally expected to last around 5 to 7 years, though this varies with the blind and the material, and every Blindstyle blind comes with a 4 year guarantee.

The PVC-coated slats block the light through the blind when the slats are closed. A little can show at the edges, and a blind fitted inside the recess lets some in at the sides, so exact size with a little extra overlap is darker.
