Made to Measure Full Height Shutters
Our full height shutters are made to measure to cover the window from top to bottom, with wide 89mm louvres that tilt to control the light and the view in. They are made from faux wood and come in three finishes: a crisp grey, a soft ecru and a pale lunar tone.
These are full height shutters, so there is one clean run of louvres from sill to frame rather than a shutter that covers only the lower half of the window. Every shutter is covered by a 4 year guarantee on all components.
Where Full Height Shutters Work Best
Because they cover the whole window, full height shutters suit tall living room windows and any window you want to dress with a single, solid look. The faux wood is moisture resistant, so the same shutters also work in a bathroom or kitchen, where you can tilt the louvres for privacy and still let daylight in.
The height of your window decides the build: taller shutters get one or two midrails that divide the louvres into sections. Are full height shutters easy to keep clean?
Yes. The faux wood is water resistant, so most dust and dirt wipes away with a duster or a cloth.
What does full height mean for shutters?
Full height shutters cover the window from the top of the frame to the bottom, with louvres along the whole height. The other common style is a shutter that covers only the lower half of the window. Ours are made to your measured height, so the louvres run the full length of the glass.
Do full height shutters need a midrail?
It depends on the height. Shutters up to 1700mm high have no midrail, shutters from 1700mm to 2400mm have one midrail halfway up, and taller shutters have two, at a third and two thirds of the height. The midrail divides the louvres into sections.
