Our plain vertical blinds are made to measure in the UK with 89mm slats in solid colours with no pattern, so they sit quietly in a room with patterned curtains, wallpaper or furniture. Choose polyester for a soft fabric feel that filters daylight, or PVC-coated for a smooth finish that blocks light and wipes clean, with a smooth wand to tilt and slide.

When Plain Is the Right Choice

A plain blind lets the rest of the room lead. It suits a busy room with a patterned sofa or a feature wall, and it is easier to match to paint than a textured fabric. White, cream and grey blend into the wall, while black or blue make the blind itself the statement.

Plain Blind FAQs

Plain vertical blinds are solid-coloured blinds with no pattern or print. They suit any room because the colour does the work, and they are easy to pair with patterned walls or furniture.

Yes. The PVC-coated plain colours block light when closed. Light can still show at the edges depending on how the blind is fitted. The fabric complies with Type B of BS 5867-2:2008.

Yes. For a dark bedroom choose a PVC-coated plain colour, and for a lighter room a polyester one.

A duster, a vacuum or a dry cloth removes dust from polyester slats, and PVC-coated slats can also be wiped with a damp cloth. We do not recommend washing them.
