Venetian Blinds for Large Windows Up to 400cm

Our venetian blinds for large windows are made to measure in the UK with 25mm aluminium slats, in sizes up to 400cm wide and 400cm long, enough for a tall stairwell window, a wide picture window or a run of patio doors. These extra wide venetian blinds keep the lines clean over a large expanse of glass, and tilting the slats lets you control the light across the whole window at once.

A 300cm wide venetian blind or a long venetian blind to 400cm is made the same way as a small one, with a 4 year guarantee, and up to ten free samples help you choose a colour for a window you will see every day.

Splitting a Wide Window Between Blinds

Blinds over 200cm wide are heavy because of the weight of the slats, so where you can, we suggest splitting a large window into two or more blinds. Each blind then raises, lowers and tilts on its own, which is easier to handle and lets you open one section while the other stays closed. Mark the split point with a pencil and measure each section from it, in three places, using the smallest width and drop.

Blinds are made within a 4mm tolerance on both width and drop, so measure carefully. For windows wider than 400cm, see our extra wide vertical blinds, which go up to 500cm.

Large Window Venetian Blind FAQs

The largest is 400cm wide by 400cm long, and the smallest is 61cm by 61cm. Every blind is made to measure, so you order the exact size your window needs.

Aluminium is lighter than wood, but a large blind is still heavy because of the weight of the slats. Blinds over 200cm wide are heavy, so where you can, split a large window into smaller blinds.

They are a good choice if you want to tilt the slats to control light and privacy across the whole window. Whether they are the best depends on the look you want and the window: our extra wide vertical blinds, for example, go up to 500cm wide and slide aside to open the view.

Every blind is made to measure from 61cm by 61cm up to 400cm wide by 400cm long. Our clip-in perfect fit venetian blinds are smaller, up to 137.2cm wide and 213.4cm high.

Yes, and we suggest it for anything over 200cm wide. Mark the split point on the window, measure each section from it using the smallest width and drop, and order one blind for each section. Every Blindstyle blind also comes with measurement protection, which gives you a reduced price on a replacement if you measure wrong, depending on the blind.

Yes. The brackets, a safety device and an installation guide are in the box, and the brackets fix to the face of the window or wall, the side of the recess or the top of the recess.
