Vertical Conservatory Blinds
Made to Measure Vertical Conservatory Blinds
Our vertical conservatory blinds are made to measure in the UK with 89mm slats and a smooth wand, up to 500cm wide and 350cm long, which suits tall glazed walls and conservatory doors. In a bright room the PVC-coated slat is the one to choose: it blocks the light through the blind when the slats are closed, wipes clean and is waterproof.
Up to ten free samples, posted first class, let you see the colour in the conservatory's own light.
Glare, Sunlight and Glazed Walls
Tilt the slats to send strong sunlight away from the seating, or close them to block it out when a south-facing wall is at its brightest. Vertical blinds suit upright glazing and conservatory doors and are not designed for roof glass. Light can show at the edges, so measure each pane carefully.
For a wooden look see our wooden blinds, and for a door into the conservatory our vertical patio door blinds.
Conservatory Blind FAQs
How can vertical blinds help with sun and glare in my conservatory?
Tilt the slats to angle strong sunlight away from where you sit, or close the PVC-coated slats to block the light. We do not make temperature or insulation claims.
Are vertical blinds child-safe?
In a conservatory, children and pets move around the doors and glazing. They are child and pet safe. A wand does the work instead of cords, and our vertical blinds comply with all child safety laws for window blinds. Fit the blind following our vertical blind installation guide.
Can I use vertical blinds on a conservatory roof?
No. Vertical blinds hang straight down, so they suit upright windows and doors. They are not designed for roof glass.
What are the downsides of using vertical blinds in a conservatory?
Light can show at the edges depending on the fit, and they do not suit roof glass. Measure each pane carefully and choose the stack side before you order.
Are conservatory vertical blinds flame retardant?
Our PVC-coated blackout fabric complies with Type B of BS 5867-2:2008.
How do I measure my windows for conservatory vertical blinds?
In a conservatory, measure each upright pane or door on its own, because the frames are often not identical. See our measuring guide for vertical blinds for the diagrams. Our measurement protection is there if a measurement slips: it gives you a reduced price on a replacement, depending on the blind.
Are conservatory vertical blinds easy to install?
Yes. Choose fixings that suit the conservatory frame or the wall above it. Our vertical blind installation guide shows how to fix the brackets and hang the blind.
