Waterproof Vertical Blinds
Waterproof Vertical Blinds, Made to Measure
Our waterproof vertical blinds are made to measure in the UK from a fibreglass core laminated with a PVC coating, with 89mm slats and a smooth wand. They are also called hard PVC vertical blinds, rigid PVC vertical blinds or plastic vertical blinds, and the coating is moisture resistant, waterproof and wipes clean.
They suit bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and conservatories, in black, white, cream, grey, blue and beige. Up to ten free samples, posted first class, show the colour.
Where Waterproof Verticals Earn Their Place
Choose them for any window that gets steam, splashes or condensation: over a bath, a sink or a washing line of damp laundry. They wipe clean with a damp cloth, and the wand means no cords near the water. Polyester verticals are not waterproof, so for wet areas pick this PVC-coated range.
For a bathroom see our waterproof bathroom vertical blinds, and for the kitchen our kitchen vertical blinds.
Waterproof Vertical Blind FAQs
Are vertical blinds suitable for bathrooms?
Choose the PVC-coated slat, which is waterproof, so steam and splashes do not damage it. Polyester vertical blinds are not waterproof and belong in dry rooms.
Can you put a waterproof blind in a shower window?
Yes. The PVC-coated slats are waterproof and wipe clean, so they cope with being near a shower. Choose the stack side that gathers the slats away from the spray.
Is there such a thing as waterproof blinds?
Yes. Our PVC-coated vertical blinds are waterproof, and faux wood blinds are too. Polyester and real wood are not.
What is the difference between hard PVC and plastic vertical blinds?
None for our blinds. Hard PVC, rigid PVC and plastic all describe a stiff, wipe-clean slat such as the PVC-coated ones we make.
Are waterproof vertical blinds moisture resistant?
Yes. The coating is waterproof, so damp air does not soak into the slat.
How do I measure my windows for waterproof vertical blinds?
Measure the window in three places each way, and keep the smallest figure. Our measuring guide for vertical blinds covers the rest. Measurement protection comes with every order too: if a measurement does turn out wrong, you can have a replacement at a reduced price, depending on the blind.
Are waterproof vertical blinds easy to install?
Yes. Use fixings that suit the surface above the window. Our vertical blind installation guide covers the brackets and the safety device.
