The main thing to consider when opting for either real wood or faux wood blinds is how big the blind will be and where it will be. Real wood blinds can't be in wet rooms as it'll destroy the natural wood, but faux wood blinds thrive in bathrooms and above kitchen sinks. You might want to opt for real wood blinds (where possible) if you've got larger windows as faux woods tend to be around 20% heavier.
Do wood blinds block out sunlight?
Wooden blinds do a great job at blocking out sunlight. They're not considered blackout as they have tiny holes in the slats for cords but when fully closed, they really darken a room. If you want to block out even more light, opt for wooden blinds with tapes.
