Thermal Shutters
Faux Wood Shutters, Sold as Thermal
Our thermal shutters are made to measure, full height faux wood shutters with 89mm louvres, in Armor Coating (Armory grey), Egg Shell (Ecru with Pearl hinges) and Moon Rock (Lunar). The faux wood is moisture resistant and wipes clean.
Shutters sit close to the window and close fully, which is why people search for insulation. We publish no insulation figures for our shutters, so we do not promise a number or compare them with glazing.
What We Can Tell You About the Shutters
Panels are laid out LR up to 1820mm wide and LLR up to 2140mm wide, with a midrail above 1700mm high. The louvres tilt to direct daylight and keep the room private. Each shutter is built to your sizes, so read the shutter measuring guide, which covers L, Z and Deco frames, before you order.
The shutter installation guide covers fitting. If you want a thicker fabric that helps trap air, see our thermal blinds, which come with the same plain wording. Delivery to the UK mainland is free. See all our shutters for the full range.
Thermal Shutter FAQs
Are real wood or faux wood shutters best for insulation?
All of our shutters are faux wood. We publish no insulation figures for them, so we do not compare real and faux wood on insulation. Faux wood is moisture resistant.
How do I install thermal shutter blinds?
Shutters are not the easiest blinds to install, so we put together a shutter installation guide with step by step instructions.
How do I measure for thermal shutters?
Follow the shutter measuring guide. It covers L, Z and Deco frames, window handle clearance and run-off in the recess. Every Blindstyle blind also comes with measurement protection, which gives you a reduced price on a replacement if you measure wrong, and the price depends on the blind.
What colours do the shutters come in?
Armory grey (Armor Coating), Ecru with Pearl hinges (Egg Shell) and Lunar (Moon Rock).
